Cox Green School

Cox Green School is the lead school in the partnership and is a non-denominational, co-educational secondary school with academy status, located to the south of Maidenhead. There are 940 students on roll, including a sizeable sixth form.  Cox Green prides itself on being a vibrant community school and visitors frequently comment on the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The school’s determination to provide a first class education at the school has led to significant change, resulting in the very best teaching and the excellent progress of all students. The Headteacher’s vision for the school was recently commended by Ofsted; as a result Cox Green provides a secure and happy environment for positive and exciting learning experiences, with a calm and purposeful learning environment. The range of enrichment activities is second to none and these activities support students to become successful, confident and mature young people. The school is determined to continue to make a difference to its young people and there is every indication that it is well on its journey to become outstanding. Teachers and students are very proud of Cox Green; prospective applicants for Teach Maidenhead School Direct places are strongly encouraged to undertake up to a week’s work experience at the school.
